240 Days of Silence: What Happens When You Keep Showing Up

I haven’t been around much on social media lately.
Because, to be honest… I wasn’t really anywhere.

Not present. Not grounded. Not creative.
I was showing up for everyone — except myself.
And I felt it.

The irritability. The fog. The mental spinning.
I was flat, snappy, unfocused, and disconnected.
All while working full-time, doing night shifts, building a business, and trying to hold myself together with duct tape and positive quotes.

I knew what was missing.
Stillness.
Not “take a bath and light a candle” stillness.
The kind that rewires how you relate to the world. The kind that clears the channel between you and your own damn truth.

So 240 days ago, I made a decision:
I would show up for myself, every day, in silence.

No apps. No guided meditations. No productivity hacks.
Just me, my breath, and 20 minutes of presence. Every single day.

And here’s the truth: it didn’t feel magical at first.
Some mornings were a fight. I had to drag myself to the cushion.
My mind screamed, my body resisted, and my to-do list heckled me from the corner.

But I stayed.

And slowly, something shifted.

By day 15, I felt the difference if I skipped it.
By day 30, I stopped needing to “make myself” do it.
By day 90, it became my medicine.
And now, at day 240, it’s who I am.

So what changed?

Not everything. But also… everything.

  • My mind is quieter — not silent, but slower, softer

  • I don’t rush to fix every emotion

  • I speak slower, but with more certainty

  • I make decisions from my gut, not my wounds

  • I feel clearer. Lighter. Like my body isn't bracing all day

  • I’ve stopped performing peace and started being it

  • I’m no longer chasing a “better me” — I’m meeting the one that’s already here

The world didn’t get easier. But I did get steadier.

But here’s the real magic…

This practice isn’t about escape. It’s not about being calm all the time or transcending the mess.

It’s about learning to sit in the mess — and still feel your centre.

It’s about remembering who you are underneath the noise.

It’s about waking up to your life again, one breath at a time.

If you’re tired of spiritual “shoulds” and craving a return to yourself — not your productivity, not your performance, not your Instagrammable version of peace — just you…

Start with five minutes.

No goals.
No judgment.
Just presence.

And if you want support, I created something for you.
